CHILDRENS
GARDEN
Leichhardt
This front garden is only 20m2 and was dominated by unused lawn that did not inspire the client and required regular maintenance.

The client brief included transforming this hot and underutilised space to create a children's garden that brought curb appeal as well as functionality.

The design made particular consideration for a small child's sightline and senses using sun loving, flowering small shrubs and ground covers in varieties of shape, scent and texture. Citrus and Olive trees were placed to include vertical interest and integrate an edible theme through the garden. A wooden seat on a low corten drum connects with the existing spotted gum deck and the curving crushed granite path with large bluestone organic shaped pavers invites the kids to weave through the garden.
